Re-thatching works on the rear elevation at Holly Cottage are under way.  Re-thatching is being carried out using combed wheat reed and the ridge is going to be a turn over block pattern ridge.  Before and present day photos below..   Roof before work started.   Roof at present, 1 week into re-thatching works.

Little Salterns, Beaulieu.  We have just commenced our first copper instalment on the ridge of Little Salterns.  We are installing the copper pipe into the ridge to kill and remove the moss and lichen from the thatch.  Before photos below..  

Re-ridging and refurbishment works are now complete. All of the thatch including the porches had been properly cleaned, re-fixed where necessary and redressed removing all debris leaving thatch in good condition.
